In accordance with Rules and Regulations Section 1.12 (http://bit.ly/17Oq75y), the Rent Board sets the annual allowable rent increase for rent controlled units. The new rates are effective every year on March 1. The amount is based on 60% of the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for All Urban Consumers in the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose region for the 12-month period ending October 31, as posted in November by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Each City elective officer who approves a contract that has a total anticipated or actual value of $100,000 or more must file this form with the Ethics Commission within five business days of approval by: (a) the City elective officer, (b) any board on which the City elective officer serves, or (c) the board of any state agency on which an appointee of the City elective officer serves.

This dataset includes SFEC Form 126 Notification of Contract Approval forms which were filed on paper with the Ethics Commission.

A. SUMMARY
This dataset represents San Francisco COVID-19 related deaths by day. This data may not be immediately available for recently reported deaths. Data updates as more information becomes available. Because of this, death totals for previous days may increase or decrease. More recent data is less reliable.

B. HOW THE DATASET IS CREATED
As of January 1, 2023, COVID-19 deaths are defined as persons who had COVID-19 listed as a cause of death or a significant condition contributing to their death on their death certificate. This definition is in alignment with the California Department of Public Health and the national Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists. Death data is provided by the California Department of Public Health.

It takes time to process this data. Because of this, death totals may increase or decrease over time.

Data are continually updated to maximize completeness of information and reporting on San Francisco COVID-19 deaths.

C. UPDATE PROCESS
Updates automatically at 06:30 and 07:30 AM Pacific Time on Wednesday each week.

Dataset will not update on the business day following any federal holiday.

D. HOW TO USE THIS DATASET
This dataset shows new deaths and cumulative deaths by date of death. New deaths are the count of deaths on that specific date. Cumulative deaths are the running total of all San Francisco COVID-19 deaths up to the date listed.

Use the Deaths by Population Characteristics Over Time dataset to see deaths by different subgroups including race/ethnicity, age, and gender.

E. CHANGE LOG

• 9/11/2023 – on this date, we began using an updated definition of a COVID-19 death to align with the California Department of Public Health. This change was applied to COVID-19 deaths retrospectively beginning on 1/1/2023. More information about the recommendation by the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists that motivated this change can be found here.
  
• 4/6/2023 - the State implemented system updates to improve the integrity of historical data.
  
• 1/22/2022 - system updates to improve timeliness and accuracy of cases and deaths data were implemented.

A. SUMMARY
Dispatched Calls-For-Service – Closed Calls includes all calls for service which generate a record in the Department of Emergency Management's Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System, and typically have a law enforcement unit dispatched to the location. Calls originate from the public via calls to the 911 call center or from law enforcement officers in the field upon viewing an incident (‘On-View’). The Closed Calls dataset includes only calls for service that have been closed, and is updated every 24 hours, to include the initial call type, final call type and call disposition. Not all Calls for Service generate a Police Incident Report, so data does not directly correlate to the Police Incidents Report dataset. All relevant time intervals are also included. Dataset contains calls handled by law enforcement which can include Police, MTA parking enforcement, the Sheriff’s Office, and others. Some Calls for Service data is suppressed, due to the nature of the call and privacy concerns related to the incident.

Once a received 911 call is dispatched, a record (CAD#) is generated in the Department of Emergency Management's Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System.

Note: As of 12/22/23, Law Enforcement Calls for Service data related to calls that originated from the 311 Connected Worker app and were dispatched from the Healthy Streets Operations Center (HSOC) have been recoded to better capture the nature of these calls. These calls were previously categorized as "on view" calls and were hard to distinguish from other types of "on view" calls for service where a San Francisco Police Department unit were dispatched based on viewing an incident in the field. They will now be identified using a new value in the onview_flag data field of "HSOC." This affects historic data as well as new data in the Law Enforcement Calls for Service datasets.
