C. UPDATE FREQUENCY
Annually in the fall, counts are collected the second week of September in coordination with the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project.

A bicycle count value of “-1” indicates a null value (bicycle count data was not collected at this location for that year). Bike counts for 2012 are not included in this file, as they are not available/unable to be located. One empty feature from the original “citywide_manual_bicycle_count_locations” (feature 50) was deleted.

A. SUMMARY This dataset contains the locations of bicycle parking racks installed by the SFMTA. The data includes locations that are installed on sidewalks, in on-street bicycle corrals, in city-owned garages, and in parklets. This dataset does not include racks installed on private property or in privately owned garages.

B. METHODOLOGY Locations are associated to an address so they may not reflect there actual placement along the sidewalk. C. UPDATE FREQUENCY The dataset is updated quarterly as racks are continuously installed upon request from the public, businesses, and property owners as well as where the SFMTA sees demand.
