The location of buildings, inspections and violations that were issued by the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection (DBI), San Francisco Department of Health (SFDPH), and The San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) for 1/2008 - 8/2013 for residential buildings in San Francisco. This dataset adheres to the House Facts Data Standard version 1.2 - which is a government open data standard that provides a uniform format for reporting governmental data on the regulation of health and safety laws for residential housing in a machine readable format. The specification links data to the residential building understanding that a single building may have multiple dwelling units and multiple owners. The Health Department has developed an inspection report and scoring system. After conducting an inspection of the facility, the Health Inspector calculates a score based on the violations observed. Violations can fall into:high risk category: records specific violations that directly relate to the transmission of food borne illnesses, the adulteration of food products and the contamination of food-contact surfaces.moderate risk category: records specific violations that are of a moderate risk to the public health and safety.low risk category: records violations that are low risk or have no immediate risk to the public health and safety.The score card that will be issued by the inspector is maintained at the food establishment and is available to the public in this dataset.
